All things work fine in my pc, but when I upload the project to the server, no index files are generated in the lucene/indexes/index folder, but in the gpsindex folder. What is the diffenence between index and gpsindex´╝č

How to resolve this problem?
Help me everyone....

did you get any error?

from my understanding the gpsindex is the index created by the gps device you choose and it will not be useful until Compass finish the indexing process and turn it into Lucene index.

what gps device are you using and how do you perform the indexing ?

Thank you for your answer.

The device I used is org.compass.gps.device.hibernate.HibernateGpsDevice.

Some one says that it's about the threads in the server. But I can not catch what he means.

I am trying to search the compass doc to find something usefull.

unfortunately i don't have much experience with HibernateGpsDevice. you may want to try to have a more verbose logging and probably check the permission of the file system in the server.

because the indexes will not be copied from gpsindex to index folder, so i write a snippet to copy the index to index folder.

The copied indexes is opened sucessfully in luke, but errors accur in tomcat log:

java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 1871048, Size: 21

i don't know why. Is there any hints for me?
